Observational Works

Watercolour and Pencils

In order to grasp perspective, I went on a multidimensional path that included both formal study and observational approaches, with still life drawings acting as a vital link between theory and practice. Through formal education, I studied perspective concepts and gained a theoretical basis in the craft of generating depth and dimension on a two-dimensional surface. Armed with this information, I used still life compositions as a canvas for hands-on experimentation, methodically arranging things to see how they interacted in a three-dimensional world. With each drawing, I improved my ability to depict the finer details of perspective, such as the convergence of parallel lines and the compression of shapes at different distances. Through consistent practice and careful observation, I gained an instinctive grasp of how to portray depth and spatial connections with clarity and accuracy, allowing me to imbue my artwork with a feeling of reality and immersive depth that captures the viewer’s imagination.
